  2. The significance of the of the image is that the white lady is just sitting around just knitting and the black woman is working. This connects with what i read because Chanda's mom was working for a man.

  3. This image shows that a black women is babysitting a white family's child. According to the womens faces they don't look that happy with what they are doing. They probably have felt this way because they hated being discriminated against. These pictures connect with the book im reading because in the book the same thing as in the picture is happening.

  5. This picture is significant because it shows a black women taking care of a white women. This shows that the white women has more power over the black women. In the book the men have more power then the women. This also shows that the black women has a sad face. In the book the Chanda has to help take care of her siblings. You can infer that Chanda does not enjoy this like the black women.

  6. THis picture is significant beacuse the African American is takeing care of the black womens child, also she is cleaning the white womens home. This shows that the white are dominate towards the blacks. In the story Chandas secrets the men are dominate to the women.
